Recognition and analysis of runic inscriptions using Optical and Intelligent character recognition.
An innovative project created for the purpose of preserving historical heritage and processing them in digital format. In this project, the runic inscriptions on the Kultegin monument are automatically recognized and analyzed using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) technologies. During the project, OCR and ICR algorithms and libraries were used, and a complete table of ortho-Latin transliteration was prepared. The system allows the user to transliterate runic texts into the Latin alphabet, compare them with Egyptian hieroglyphs, process the recognized text and check it using a reverse program. The program codes and analytical part are also fully written and presented for use. This project is suitable for widespread use in the fields of education, medicine, archives, science, information security, autonomous vehicles and finance. This solution, aimed at preserving digital humanities and cultural heritage, is based on artificial intelligence
