
AI BOOTCAMP
L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University was designated as the anchor university within the framework of the innovative acceleration program “AI-Sana” by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSHE RK), which highlights the strategic importance of the Department’s and the University’s work in digitalization and the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process.
As part of the first stage of this program, the course “AI BootCamp: Intensive Course on the Basics of Artificial Intelligence” was developed and launched on the platform for ENU students, providing a certificate of completion worth 36 academic hours. In May 2025, 23,951 students completed this course. ENU was among the few universities granted permission to use self-developed courses for students as part of promoting the AI-Sana program.
Additionally, under AI-Sana, the curators of the Department of Online Learning facilitated student participation in AI courses hosted on platforms provided by the MSHE RK: Huawei (5,595 ENU students trained) and Astana Hub (1,074 students).

Students who successfully completed the course received 36-hour certificates, which were made available on the SmartENU platform.
